Imagine that you are going to study abroad and will be staying with a family for 3 weeks. You have never met each other. Write an email introducing yourself to them.

Examples and hints

This will be a semi-formal email. You don't want to sound too casual with people you've never met, but you also don't want to be too formal. Formality can come across as distant and unfriendly. Give some interesting information about yourself, not just your name and what you're studying. After all, you'll be living with this family, so your relationship will not be purely professional.

Don't forget to thank them for welcoming you to their home!
