QUESTIONS 1–5: Write a sentence based on a picture
DIRECTIONS: In this part of the test, you will write ONE sentence that is based on a picture. With each picture, you will be given TWO words or phrases that you must use in your sentence. You can change the forms of the words and you can use the words in any order.
What should people visiting your hometown see or experience? What does your hometown have to offer? What is it famous for? Make some recommendations or suggestions to people traveling there.
If you could pass any law you wanted, what would it be? Would it be for your city? Your country? The whole world? Give your reasons for making this law.
"Civil disobedience" is when you break the law or social rules on purpose to bring attention to a cause (a principle or aim that a group supports or fights for) and push for change. People may be arrested when performing civil disobedience.
Is there a cause you think is worth being arrested for? What is it, and why do you feel that way?
Below is a bar graph showing literacy rates in several regions from 1990 to 2015. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
What was the most significant event in your life so far? Why? What were the consequences of it? How would your life have been different if it had never happened?
Think about a trip you went on (good or bad). Describe the trip. Write about what you would do differently if you went to that place again. Explain why you would do things differently and how that would change your experience of the place.

Imagine you have just attended a lecture at your university, given by an expert in your field of study. Write an email to the speaker expressing your appreciation for the lecture and requesting further contact. You would like to talk more with the speaker about their topic to help you with your own studies.
