Question: What would you like to learn more about in your field of expertise?

This is a typical job interview question. Write your answer as though you are in an actual interview.

Examples and hints

Interviewers ask this question to see how invested you are in your particular field. Employers want someone who wants to continue growing in their career. They also like to see that you are interested in expanding your knowledge beyond the current boundaries of your position.

NOTE: DO NOT just give a vague answer, like, "Oh, I always like to learn more." That will convey a disinterest in improving your skills.

TIPS:

Be specific about what you would like to learn. Give concrete examples, if you can (e.g., training programs you know about).
Explain clearly how you could use that knowledge in your job, how it would improve your performance.
If there is some sort of skills training that isn't obviously related to the position (hobbies or other interests), but that you think could be used on the job, you can talk about that.
Be sure to communicate your excitement about expanding your knowledge and skills.
