QUESTIONS 1–5: Write a sentence based on a picture
DIRECTIONS: In this part of the test, you will write ONE sentence that is based on a picture. With each picture, you will be given TWO words or phrases that you must use in your sentence. You can change the forms of the words and you can use the words in any order.
"Civil disobedience" is when you break the law or social rules on purpose to bring attention to a cause (a principle or aim that a group supports or fights for) and push for change. People may be arrested when performing civil disobedience.
Is there a cause you think is worth being arrested for? What is it, and why do you feel that way?
Imagine you see this scene one day. You want to tell your friend the story of the amazing skater you saw. Describe the picture in as much detail as you can. What is happening? Where is this? How is the weather? What is the person wearing? What might he be thinking? Be as imaginative and creative as you can! Remember to write like it like you are telling your friend.
What makes you most proud about your country? What is the greatest thing about the people and the place that you call home? Describe it in detail and say why you feel that way.
If you could pass any law you wanted, what would it be? Would it be for your city? Your country? The whole world? Give your reasons for making this law.
Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age and should spend their time on school studies. Others believe that children should spend most of their time playing. Which view do you agree with? Why?
