The best way to teach is to praise positive actions and ignore negative ones.

Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the recommendation and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, describe specific circumstances in which adopting the recommendation would or would not be advantageous and explain how these examples shape your position.

Examples and hints

IELTS (250 words)

Write an essay, giving and justifying your opinion, discussing the topic, summarizing details, outlining problems, identifying possible solutions and supporting what you write with reasons, arguments and relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

TOEIC (300 words):

write an essay in response to a question that asks you to state, explain and support your opinion on an issue.

TOEFL (30 mins):

write an essay based on personal experience or opinion in response to a writing topic.

GRE (500–600 words):

articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively
support ideas with relevant reasons and examples
examine claims and accompanying evidence
sustain a well-focused, coherent discussion
control the elements of standard written English
