Some mini tomatoes which my husband and I are growing have turned bright red.

We went to a gardening shop to buy some broccoli seedlings. There are two ways to grow broccoli: sowing it in the spring or autumn. Bugs really like broccoli. If we grow it in the spring, the bugs eat it. It is easier to grow broccoli in autumn. That is the time to plant.

We planted some marigold and a peppermint seedlings, with some broccoli as companion plants, in two planters. Companion plants are for keeping away the bugs. We planted an herb with the mini tomato plant. There are no bugs at all. I hope it works on the broccoli.

We will be able to harvest in about October. We are looking forward to it.

Hi Taichi,

The beaches here are really beautiful, but you have to go a little way from São Paulo, where I live. It takes a couple of hours to get there by car. I am also glad to hear you read other people's writing. I think it would be nice if you made a comment to say thanks to them!

When things change color, we say "turn". Ex. "The traffic light turned green."
Usually people say "seedlings". I guess "nursery plants" is OK. But you need to put the name of the plant first, and you don't need "of". You said "plants of broccoli", but it is "broccoli plants".
The second and third paragraph were good, but not natural in places. For example, you say "spring sowing", but English speakers like to use verbs, so we say "sowing in the spring" instead. "Sowing" in your sentence is acting like a noun. English is confusing like that. You can say "plant a plant", where the fist "plant" is a verb and the second "plant" is a noun. It's like "drink a drink".
"Broccoli" is uncountable, so you don't need an "s".

I have some small questions.

Hello Matthew,

Thank you for correcting my English. I was struggling to write it. However I learned some tips to writing English. Verb is first, right? And the name of pant is first.

I have some small questions. First paragraph, why is 'bright red', not just 'red'? Does image of red is deeper?

Second paragraph, I wrote 'This is the time to plant'. Why is 'That is the time to plant'?

Can I comment sharing page? I can see comment form.

I read your diary. It's interesting! It reminded me my sister. I used to take care of her daughter. I found past perfect two in the diary.

Please comment on shared writing! I want you to get to know the other students, and I hope that we can make a stronger community that way.

I added "bright" because tomatoes are bright red (very vivid) and it makes them sound more delicious. Adding words to give more information is a good way to paint a clearer and more interesting picture with your writing.
"This" is what you are going to say. "That" is what you have already said. You had already talked about planting times. Does that (←) make sense?

Thanks for reading my diary. I am going for a trip today. I will be away for a week, but I will still be working in the evenings and mornings.
