We talked about the first two parts of the intermediate level already: pragmatics and idiom; and vocabulary building.  Now we are going to look at using language in real life.

When you are a beginner, you can try to use the language in real life. It will be a good experience and you can learn something from it. Remember your limits and don't try to do too much. Don't try to read the newspaper or expect to have a conversation with a native speaker very easily. Because at the beginner level you have not yet learned basic grammar and sentence patterns, there will be limits upon how you can use language in real life. This is the reason that learning basic syntax is the most urgent task for the learner. Make it your priority, and the heart of your learning, when you are at the beginner level.
