Moving cities, moving house

By Matthew, October 18 2015, 07:02
Last week, I moved 1,000 km to a new city and a new apartment.

Last week, I moved house and I moved city. I have shifted from São Paulo 1,000 km north to the capital of Brazil, Brasilia. This city is much more tranquil. There is a lot of open space and trees.  I have traded the sounds of city for the sounds of nature. Instead of fire engines, police sirens, construction noises and traffic, I can hear cicadas, birds and the sounds of children playing. Our apartment is bigger, so I have a bigger office and my son has space for a hammock in his room. There is also plenty of space for my son to play outside. There is a supermarket close by, and we have joined a sports club with a pool. The best part is my wife's family lives here. It's nice to see my son play with his grandparents and cousins.

Life is good here, and I can already feel the stress melting away!

tranquil—peaceful
